A quick positive review to counter the one negative review:
I ate breakfast here with some friends Sunday morning 3/29/15. The menu was really basic and small, but we all enjoyed what we ordered. I think I had over-easy eggs, hash browns (actual shredded potatoes), sausage patties, wheat toast and coffee. Sounds simple, but if you've spent any time in rural PA, you know that most diners--heck, most establishments--find a way to screw that up and make it gross. At Pipher's it was good--looked and tasted like real food that I would make at home myself. You can plainly see the sole cook behind the counter at work over a small grill--no cause to worry about cleanliness or mystery ingredients.
And good grief Josheau W., if you're upset about the prices, you must have fallen on hard times. My giant breakfast cost maybe six bucks. -

I love Pipher's. Basic old-school diner food, great retro diner look, total immersion in NE PA culture, with all of its sweet quirkiness. Always nice to chat with the owner -- he's only 1° of separation from anyone who grew up in the area or has lived here for a while, and knows a lot of local history. He keeps the place super-clean and keeps the old furnishings in great shape. Always a treat to visit Piphers!

It was the only place open and I regret going. We all got sick from it. How it looks on the outside and inside is exactly how the food is-gross.

We were looking for a place to get some lunch and avoid the cold and the constant onslaught of sandwiches that have become lunch here in Towanda. Trying to explore other options, I drive down thw road to Wysox and enter Pipher's diner. Immediately I noticed how old this place is, and not in a good way. While the place doesn't look filthy, neither is it clean and I noticed a stale odor. After looking at the menu and seeing 'no refills' on every page we get our drink order and out comes a 12 oz can of soda for 1.30. No refills. We didn't open the cans, just left disappointed.
